Hayden would still believe that all of this had started because of him, making Anna feel even more guilty.
"What's wrong? Your father needs to know about this!" Charlotte said seriously.
"How about we go now?" Julia suddenly suggested.
She could sense Anna's unease and empathized with her. Without needing to think, she knew Anna must have gone to find Hayden to discuss bringing him back to the Sterling family, just as she had intended to discuss it with her.
It was all for the sake of Charlotte, Julia, Lily, and Anna's future. If they called Francis back and this matter was exposed, everything would be ruined. It could even bring Morgan's identity into question. How could Charlotte bear such a truth?
"Alright. Since you've decided, let's go." Charlotte didn't think much about it and led everyone out.
In the car, they continued to comfort Anna while badmouthing Hayden. Anna grew quieter and more conflicted, feeling increasingly suffocated. She wasn't sure if Hayden would even meet her now.
When they arrived by Stone River, they found no trace of Hayden. After searching for a while, they still couldn't find him.
"Maybe he's gone home. Let's just come back next time," Anna muttered, ready to give up.
"No way! I'm going to have a proper talk with him!" Lily declared firmly.
Anna bit her lip, feeling a deep sense of disappointment. After discussing it, they decided to go to the Caldwell residence to look for Hayden.
At that moment, Hayden had already returned home with Jenny.
