Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 239

"That woman is absolutely disgusting, actually using a honeytrap! The Sterling family just won't leave you alone even now. Why are they so shameless?" Jenny's face flushed with anger, puffing up her cheeks angrily. Her heart ached for Hayden for all that he had suffered.

"It's fine," Hayden said gently, gently patting Jenny's head to comfort her.

"Hayden, you're too kind. If it were me, I'd march right over and give them a piece of my mind!" Jenny said, trying to put on a fierce expression.

Hayden couldn't help but smile. He would love to do that too. However, would that really be enough? No, he wanted more than that.

"100 thousand? Aren't you selling yourself a little short?" Hayden shook his head.

"I didn't realize that before, but now I do. 100 thousand is nothing to someone like you. I'm not worth that price!" Christina admitted, her spirits crushed as she shook her head.

However, Hayden suddenly added, "What I mean to say is 100 thousand is far too little for someone like you! You're talented, so you shouldn't degrade yourself like this. I'll give you a million to work for me instead!"

Hayden's gaze was serious, staring right at Christina.

Christina's mind was blown, leaving her staring blankly at the man before her in a daze.

Was she imagining things? One million? Since when was she worth that much money?

Christina couldn't help but swallow hard, her expression growing increasingly anxious. She had a feeling that this man was toying with her!

"Hayden, have you lost your mind? Why are you giving her a million? Don't tell me you really fell for her! She was sent by the Sterlings. Who knows what stunt she might pull off to harm you one day?" Jenny protested right away, frustrated by the idea. Mostly, she was worried about Hayden's safety.

"It's fine. I know what I'm doing," Hayden replied calmly.

Jenny pouted, feeling anxious and upset. However, she couldn't sway Hayden in the slightest.
