Hayden glanced at his phone.
The short video he had uploaded had been trending the next day, with views skyrocketing. It had already made its way onto the hot topics list, garnering over a million likes, which was a rare feat for any short-form content.
Curious viewers and influencers were buzzing about the video, wondering who this lucky person could be.
Hayden smirked, satisfied with the traction it was getting. This would mean an influx of followers, which was exactly what he wanted.
"Do you have time? My family would love to have you over for another meal," Christina said politely on the other end of the line.
"Huh? Why?" Hayden asked, genuinely baffled. He had already been to Christina's place for dinner once. Another invitation? That couldn't be for no reason.
"Don't overthink it," Christina quickly explained, her tone slightly anxious. "They just really liked you. That's all."
Hayden hesitated but eventually gave in. "Alright… I'll swing by around noon."
"Actually, could you come by the office first? There's something else I need to talk to you about," Christina added.
"Fine. I'll head over," Hayden agreed.
After letting Jenny know he'd be out for a bit, Hayden made his way to the office. He met Christina there shortly after.
"What's up?" Hayden asked.
Christina was dressed casually, her long black hair flowing loosely over her shoulders, giving off a youthful and relaxed vibe. However, her expression was serious, a hint of tension furrowing her brow.
She looked him straight in the eye and said, "It's Lily. She came to me again."
"What does she want now?" Hayden asked, raising an eyebrow. He wasn't surprised in the least.
