Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 317

As Hayden walked home, he couldn't help but glance back. Seeing Christina's figure in the distance, a flood of emotions surged within him. Her presence had indeed brought some changes in his life.

He had originally thought of her as just an unpredictable variable.

In his past life, their connection had been very shallow. But in this life, they had crossed paths often, and now they were even business partners.

Facing such a beautiful woman, Hayden couldn't deny that his heart would sometimes skip a beat. However, reason reminded him that he needed to stay focused.

He had to work hard to achieve what he hadn't finished in his past life. If he became distracted now, he would never accomplish anything.

With these heavy thoughts, Hayden returned home.

"Wash up quickly. Dinner's ready!" Serena shouted.

"You're later than usual today," James casually remarked as he brought two plates of food to the table.

Hayden looked at everything before him, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. The warm, familiar atmosphere of home surrounded him. It felt comforting.

"Hayden, why are you smiling? Don't tell me you're in a relationship now. Is it Christina? Hmph! I knew it! That woman's no good!"

Jenny saw him smiling and immediately became flustered, rushing over to inspect him as if afraid he had lost weight or something.

"Don't talk nonsense. I'm not," he quickly denied.

"Wash up. We'll talk about it at the dinner table," Serena said, clearly interested. She and James whispered to each other as they returned to the kitchen.

Hayden shook his head, knowing they were just overthinking things.

After washing up, he sat with the family at the dinner table. Everyone chatted and laughed as they ate.

"Hayden, come on, tell us about Christina. What's she up to now?" Serena asked eagerly, her eyes fixed on Hayden.
