Hayden had finished doing the SAT practice papers. "This isn't bad, I'm going to nail the examinations!"
"You're being ridiculous. After reading books for a few days, you've started to do exam papers. Why are you working so hard?" Roy clicked his tongue in astonishment.
He saw what Hayden had done recently. This wasn't what the latter would do in the past.
Besides, his teachers had already given up on him. There was only one month left before the SAT; they didn't have to care about him anymore.
"That's a piece of cake. You don't have to admire me too much." Hayden laughed leisurely.
"What? Why would I admire you?" Roy slung an arm around Hayden's neck and chuckled. "If you're that impressive, why don't you get first place in our entire school for the next mock exam?"
"Isn't that easy?" Hayden raised an eyebrow. He knew the abilities of everyone in school. The best students had reached a bottleneck in their grades.
"If you become the first in school, I'll become your number one admirer. However, if you can't do that, you'll have to buy me Cheetos every day, okay?" Roy suggested happily.
He was certain that Hayden wouldn't be the first in school; the latter was probably bragging.
Cheetos were cheap, but at their age, they didn't have much money. It was a luxury to be able to eat that every day.
"Okay, I'll accept the bet." Hayden smiled leisurely. This was an added amusement to their boring life.
It was a self-study period, and everyone was busy. Some people were studying, some were talking, and others were reading books.
Just then, a figure appeared at the doorway.
"Come out for a while, Hayden!" Lily ordered, glaring at Hayden coldly.
All at once, the entire class looked at her.
