Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 399

Even when they arrived outside Christina's neighborhood, there was an unmistakable reluctance to part ways, as if it were a farewell forever.

Jenny held Christina's hand, occasionally giving her a hug.

Christina didn't mind, holding hands with Jenny while chatting.

For Jenny, she saw Christina as a very pure and innocent girl, and after everything that had happened, she just wanted to protect her. Speaking so much had been a way to ease Christina's troubled mind, helping her recover from the shock she'd experienced.

For Christina, she felt nothing but gratitude toward Jenny. Aside from Hayden, Jenny was the only one who had stood up for her, protecting her against the Sterling family without hesitation and speaking forcefully on her behalf.

"Alright. If we don't part now, we'll miss dinner. How about we eat out tonight? What do you think?" Hayden raised an eyebrow, a helpless smile on his face. He was amused by the situation.

The two women had been talking nonstop, even stopping for over half an hour right outside Christina's neighborhood.

How much could they possibly have to talk about?

"Sure! Where should we go?"

Jenny immediately perked up, her bright eyes full of excitement. She was eager to leave and eat something delicious.

"No, it's fine. I won't be joining." Christina shook her head.

Her mood was a bit off today, and she didn't feel like going out to eat. Plus, she had strict family rules, and any meals outside had to be reported in advance. By now, her family had probably already prepared dinner.

"Alright. If you're not eating, we'll head off then. Let's hurry back and eat."
