"After you bring me on board and drive Hayden's company to the ground, you'd just fire me whenever, right?"
Christina hit the nail on the head immediately. She didn't buy for a second that Morgan would keep her around long-term. She was too valuable to just be kept indefinitely.
"Hmm?" A hint of surprise flashed across Morgan's face as he stared at her, and then he burst out laughing. He hadn't expected this woman to be so sharp.
"Ms. Swanson, we're both alumni. How could you dismiss me so quickly? Why would I fire you? As long as you keep making money for my company, I won't want to let you go. As soon as you agree to join us, I'll give you benefits beyond your wildest dreams!"
Morgan threw out another enticing offer, his excitement evident. It was as if he were trying to get under Christina's skin completely.
However, Christina was a top student from Gardens High. There was no way she'd be swayed that easily.
"You say that to every livestreamer you want to recruit, don't you?" Christina asked suddenly.
"What do you mean by that?" Morgan frowned, clearly taken aback.
"You and I are both alumni," Christina continued. "I know you're planning to go to college soon. Once you're in college, how are you going to manage your company?" Her tone was laden with meaning.
Morgan replied, "Instead of worrying about me, maybe you should be focusing on your own company. Hayden is about to go to college too. What's going to happen to his company? He won't have time to run it.
