Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 426

"It didn't hurt at first, but now it's starting to sting a little," Hayden said, describing the feeling in his arm. "That's a normal reaction. It'll get better in a couple of days."

Christina held Hayden's arm with both hands, her eyes focused on the bandage. Her heart swelled with gratitude.

She remembered the moment the cup had been thrown at her and how terrified she had been as it flew straight at her face. She had thought she was going to die.

But then, Hayden had appeared and blocked the attack.

Suddenly, Christina understood why the heroines in movies always seemed to cherish those heroic rescue moments so much.

"Thank you. I… I don't even know how to repay you," she said, her voice trembling with emotion.

"There's no need to repay me," Hayden replied casually, a faint smile forming on his lips. "You came here for my sake, so I should be the one thanking you."

From the start, Hayden had suspected that Christina was hiding something from him, which was why he had followed her here. While staying out of sight, he'd overheard their conversation.

He was even more shocked by Christina's boldness—how she had set up such a massive trap for Morgan, just waiting for him to fall right into it.

"Wait… So, you followed me because you doubted me?" Christina asked, surprised.

"No, it was because I was worried. I knew you wouldn't join Morgan's company," Hayden said, his voice firm.

"How?" Christina asked, taken aback by his certainty.

"Because his company is doomed to fail. It was created just for revenge," Hayden answered, his tone resolute. "Your guess is absolutely right."
