Many people in the crowd recognized Christina. Their expressions turned ecstatic, and they eagerly moved closer, wanting to get a better look at her.
This unexpected turn of events left Christina momentarily stunned and frozen in place.
Then, Hayden appeared again before her, blocking her behind him. His expression was cold as he glared at the crowd.
"Now that you know who she is and she says that this isn't Twilight Cake, what else do you have to argue about?" Hayden reprimanded loudly.
"Yeah, the real deal has spoken! If she says that this isn't Twilight Cake, how can they keep lying?"
"Refund us! 200 dollars for one slice? Are you all out of your minds?"
"Give us a triple refund, or I'll report you to the authorities. You won't get away with this!"
The tourists around them were even more agitated, and they began shouting.
Everyone seemed to be on edge, like volcanoes about to erupt. They knew they'd been duped and weren't about to let it slide. How dare these vendors treat them like fools?
Soon, the tourists surrounded the vendors, continuing to press them.
"Stop! We'll refund you. We really will!"
"I messed up. I shouldn't have tricked you. I'll pay you back right now!"
"Don't report us! I have an 80-year-old mother and a few young children. My whole family depends on me!"
The vendors were now pleading desperately, their tears flowing as they begged for mercy. They were clearly nervous and afraid of the consequences.
If they were reported, they would face fines and never be able to set up their stalls again.
