Nathan slammed the phone down, his anger palpable. Meanwhile, Cameron was left stewing in a mix of anticipation and anxiety. He couldn't help but wonder if Nathan would really forsake the golden opportunity to collaborate with Regan, all for Nathalie's sake.

Nathalie had been out cold for a full day and night at the hospital. When she finally came to, she discovered she had been whisked away to a secluded mountain villa.

"Ms. Nathalie, you're finally awake?" the maid greeted her.

Nathalie groaned, every muscle aching, and her head felt like it was about to split open. A glance at the wall clock confirmed her suspicions—she had slept far longer than her usual restless four hours. Fourteen hours in total, a record for someone as anxiously wired as her.

"Where's that bastard Cameron?" she fumed, feeling a surge of rage at the thought of him. "How dare he drug me!"

"Ms. Nathalie, Mr. Dawson doesn’t live here. But don’t worry, he’s instructed me to make sure you're well taken care of," the maid replied, skillfully ignoring Nathalie’s tirade and sticking to the facts.

Realizing she was stuck, Nathalie decided it was time to make life difficult for Cameron in return.

"So, he told you to take good care of me?"

"Yes, miss."

The maid laid out Nathalie’s extravagant demands, "Mr. Cameron, she won’t be brushed off. She wants Lobster Bisque, king crab, sea cucumber, and abalone—all fresh. Plus, she insists on baths with fresh petals and distilled water."

Cameron was momentarily speechless, then chuckled in disbelief. "Playing princess without the royal lifestyle, huh? You don’t have to cater to her every whim. Use what we’ve got. If she eats, great; if not, too bad. No one is going to spoil her like that."

"But Mr. Cameron," the maid protested, "Ms. Nathalie said if we don’t meet her demands, she’ll destroy the place."

Cameron’s eyes widened. This villa was a gift from his mother. It had cost a fortune to decorate. The paintings on the wall which were worth a small fortune.
