Reborn From Oblivion (Nellie and Cameron) novel Chapter 484

Once upon a time, Nathalie was just an ordinary girl, steering clear of anything fancy or extravagant. Her eyes always seemed to carry the weight of the world, revealing a life filled with struggles and a sharp mind that kept everyone guessing.

But today, Nathalie was a whole new person. She wore clothes and jewelry that were the cream of the crop, the kind you only see in glossy magazines. Her vibe was fresh and almost otherworldly, untouched by the usual pretenses. The old weariness had vanished from her eyes, replaced by a pure and innocent sparkle.

Greta couldn't believe her eyes. How had Nathalie pulled off such an incredible transformation in such a short time?

Nathalie turned her attention to Miranda, whose frail appearance tugged at her heartstrings. Once, she had harbored deep resentment towards Miranda, but now, Nathalie was ready to move on. It wasn't about being noble; it was more about holding onto the happiness she had finally found. She figured, why not spread some kindness, build up some good karma for her and her daughter, and maybe rewrite their story?

“How can I help you?” Nathalie asked gently.

Miranda slid to her knees, tears streaming down her cheeks. “Your dad's got terminal cancer, and his time's running out. I just want him to have some peace in his final days. Could you help us out with some money so we can stay at this nursing home a bit longer?”

Greta, who always cared too much about appearances, was mortified that Miranda had gone to Nathalie for help. She yanked Miranda back into the wheelchair with a harshness that surprised even herself. “Why are you begging her? Have you forgotten who put us in this mess? How could she possibly help you?”

Nathalie noticed a nasty scratch on Miranda’s arm from the wheelchair’s metal bits but only frowned slightly before focusing back on her.

Nathalie knew that look all too well. She’d worn it herself, a silent SOS for anyone who might care to notice.

“Alright. I'll help you,” Nathalie said, her voice steady.
