Greta settled into the car without saying a word to the driver, confident that the Rowland family's bodyguards had everything under control for her. She closed her eyes, hoping to catch a moment of peace.

Suddenly, a piercing pain jolted through her ankle, snapping Greta back to reality. To her shock, she found herself sprawled on the muddy ground near Rainbow Bridge, surrounded by a gang of thugs with sinister grins.

Panic surged through her as she tried to escape, but both her ankles were dislocated. She was utterly helpless.

One thug sneered, "Lady, you’ve messed with the wrong people. Someone wants you gone."

Greta glared at them defiantly, "I know who's behind this. It's Nathalie, isn't it? I’m warning you, touch me and the cops will track you down. She’s not worth you ending up in prison for."

"Nathalie? Never heard of her," the thug said, scratching his head. He then nodded towards a sleek black car parked a short distance away. "The one who wants you dead is right over there."

Following his gaze, Greta's heart plummeted when she recognized the car's license plate. It was Cameron's.

"Cameron, is that you?" she cried out. "Cameron, help me!"

The car window rolled down, revealing a hand that signaled the thugs to "continue." Greta's eyes were drawn to the diamond ring on the hand, identical to her own. She felt the world drain away, leaving her hollow and defeated.

"How could you do this to me, Cameron?" she murmured, her voice breaking. "I loved you so much. Everything I did was because of that love."
