Reborn From Oblivion (Nellie and Cameron) novel Chapter 522

Griffin was completely confused. “After Dawson International went under, I had someone dig through the company's financial records. The decline had been creeping up for a while. The biggest dip was about six years ago, right when Nathalie left for abroad... But I just can't connect the dots between her leaving and Morris wanting to bring Dawson International down.”

Cameron’s face went pale. “Haven’t you seen the news trending lately? Turns out, Nathalie and Nathan go way back. Nathalie was the one who saved Nathan when he was trafficked.”

Griffin raised an eyebrow, surprised. “So what you’re saying is, because the Dawson family did Nathalie wrong, Nathan decided to go on a vendetta against us?”

Cameron kept his lips sealed, neither confirming nor denying.

Griffin seemed lost in thought, then broke into a chuckle. “I always figured marrying the wrong woman was my mistake, the reason the Dawson family faced such ruin. Now it looks like you might’ve married the wrong woman too, bringing calamity our way. Like father, like son, eh?”

Cameron murmured, “I’m sorry.”

Griffin, who had come to terms with life’s end and let go of material obsessions, said, “No need to apologize to me. If anything, you owe it to yourself. You made the mistakes, and now the consequences are coming back at you, aren’t they?”

Cameron was fired up, “I’ll get someone to look into Nathan. If he’s really behind all the mess that’s hit the Dawson family, I won’t let him off the hook.”

Griffin sighed, “That young man, he seems all innocent and harmless, but he’s as crafty as they come. Even if you’ve got a bone to pick with him, what can you do? You’re already beaten, the Dawson family’s lost its power, and you’ve got no fight left in you.”

Cameron stayed silent, though his eyes, sharp and piercing, spoke of his unwillingness to back down.

Just then, the hospital called Cameron. “Mr. Dawson, Mrs. Dawson isn’t cooperating with treatment, and her hallucinations and delusions are worsening. We suggest moving her to a specialized facility.”
