Reborn From Oblivion (Nellie and Cameron) novel Chapter 615

Nathan leaned in with a warm smile, "That's great news, Sis. Sounds like that guy really has a soft spot for you. I'm thrilled there's someone else out there who cares for you besides me."

Nathalie paused, puzzled. Was she not expressing herself clearly? How did Nathan get the impression that the man cherished her?

"He's this really distant, hard-to-get-to-know kind of guy. I mean, when we first met, I nearly had my neck snapped by him," Nathalie clarified.

Nathan smoothly shifted gears, "Sis, you mentioned your dad is still alive?"

Nathalie nodded, "Yeah. Officer Luke told me directly."

Nathan thought it over, "He's the sole heir from the Stewart family's second branch, handpicked by the patriarch himself. If he's alive, he stands to inherit half of the Stewart estate. But right now, the main branch has it all locked down, and they won't be eager to share. If you step forward and claim your heritage, the Stewart family might see you as a threat, and your life could get pretty complicated. Are you sure you want to go through with this?"

Nathalie's resolve was unshakable, "Officer Luke said my parents were truly in love and meant to marry and live happily ever after. But they were torn apart by deceit and tragedy. As their daughter, I owe it to them to uncover the truth. Only by acknowledging my roots can I push to reopen the case from back then."

Nathan assured her, "If that's how you feel, I'm with you all the way."

"Nathan, how do you plan to back me up?" Nathalie asked playfully.

Nathan chuckled, "I'll set up a meeting for you and your dad. How does that sound?"

Nathalie's excitement bubbled over, "You can really do that?"

Nathan nodded, "It won't be easy, but for you, Sis, I'd tackle any challenge."
