Reborn From Oblivion (Nellie and Cameron) novel Chapter 655

Lincoln's body froze for a moment before he slowly lifted his head. His eyes traced the contours of Nathalie's face—her eyes, her demeanor—whisking him back through the years to the girl who had once held his hand, dreaming of a lifetime together.

"Are you the daughter I have with Maya?"

Nathalie nodded, "Yes."

Lincoln's eyes, previously dry, turned misty as he clutched Nathalie's hand with a firm grip. "Are you really my daughter?" His eyes brimmed with overwhelming joy.

Nathalie gave a gentle nod. She had once craved the warmth of family, longing for her parents to be by her side. Yet during those times of deep yearning, she often felt trapped in a pit of despair.

Now, having discovered her biological father, she felt joy, but it wasn't the same excitement and anticipation she knew as a child. Instead, after many betrayals from loved ones, she was cautious, unsure about Lincoln too.

Would he be the loving father she needed?

It seemed he would be.

Lincoln gazed at his daughter with loving eyes, unable to look away. Tears filled his eyes as he asked, "You've grown so much. How have you been all these years without me?"

Nathalie, recalling the doctor's advice, downplayed her struggles: "I've been doing well."

"That's good, that's good," Lincoln replied.

The doctor watched the father and daughter for a while. Despite Nathalie's attempts to keep her emotions in check and focus on the positives, Lincoln's face was a mix of emotions.

The doctor stepped in gently, "Ms. Nathalie, the patient needs to rest. Perhaps you could come back tomorrow."
