Nathalie's body trembled fiercely. "The Dawson family blew his cover, the Stewart family used me as bait to lure him in, and the Rowland family hired a hitman to take him out... hahaha..." Nathalie laughed wildly.

Seeing her in such distress, Greta, feeling a sudden twinge of guilt, tried to comfort her. "I'm really sorry for your loss."

Greta, abandoning any reason she had for being there, made a hasty retreat.

Cameron was skeptical. "She's not that kind of person."

Greta broke down. "I'm telling you, she admitted it herself. Why don't you believe me?"

Cameron recalled Nathalie's chilling gaze, and suddenly felt uneasy.

He rushed Greta to the hospital, where doctors ran blood and urine tests. The diagnosis came back: a mycoplasma infection and an acute kidney disease episode.
