As Nathalie handed over her business card to Sarah, she added with a humble smile, “If you’re skeptical about what's on here, feel free to swing by my boutique. I’d love to design you free outfits for the whole next year.”
Sarah was taken aback. “Wow, you’re really pulling out all the stops for Scottie.”
Lizzy, visibly annoyed, chimed in, “Sarah, my sister’s designs are incredibly costly. Offering you a year’s worth of her creations is a huge deal. Don’t take it for granted.”
Sarah shrugged, “I’ve never believed in getting something for nothing.”
Nathalie nodded, “True, I do have a favor to ask of Scottie. I’m hoping you’ll reconsider the lawsuit against Paige. To show my sincerity, I’d gladly make clothes for your entire family for a lifetime if it’d help.”
Sarah looked at her, puzzled. “Why are you so set on going up against the Rowland family?”
Nathalie clarified, “Sarah, it’s not me opposing them. It’s the Rowland family that’s opposing me.”
“Morris might just be a pawn to the Rowlands, but to me, he’s the brother I found when he was at rock bottom. We supported each other through our darkest times, just like you and Scottie. How could I abandon family now?”
Sarah was genuinely moved.
Nathalie’s sincerity really struck a chord with her.
“Ashley, I admire your loyalty. But let me remind you, people change. Morris might have shown genuine affection when he needed you, but he’s now a lion with fangs, not the helpless rabbit you once knew. If you’re planning to help him, think carefully.”
Nathalie replied, “Sarah, you and Paige are close friends, so naturally, you trust her and doubt Nathan’s gratitude. But I have faith in Nathan. We’re at a crossroads. How about we each give the other a chance?”
Sarah thought for a moment and nodded.
Nathalie left her card with Sarah. “You’re welcome to visit anytime.”
Lizzy, curious, asked, “Sis, do you think Sarah will change her mind?”
“She already has.”
Lizzy was puzzled. “Really? Has she?”
“I just need to give it one final nudge.”
Nathalie instructed Lizzy, “Head to the fabric wholesale district. I need to stock up.”
“Got it.”
