Reborn From Oblivion (Nellie and Cameron) novel Chapter 793

Cameron stared at her, utterly incredulous. "Seriously? Not long ago, you were all about Nathan, and I thought he was your one true love. Now you're out here defending some convict? Guess you're not as loyal as you claim. So why are you looking down on me?"

Nathalie almost burst out laughing. But she quickly realized that Nathan was always a bit of a hermit, and when he did step out, he was always in disguise with those sunglasses. Nobody knew he had a face that was a dead ringer for Nathan’s. And nobody had a clue that they were actually the same person.

Nathalie wasn't in the mood to explain. She just said, "Cameron, I can love whoever I want and spend my money however I choose. It's none of your business."

Cameron suddenly grabbed her wrist with a menacing grip. "Nathalie, don't push your luck."

Nathalie looked at his hand, her eyebrows knitting together in disgust. "Cameron, do you want another trip to the hospital?"

The memory of her previous beatings flashed through Cameron's mind, and he quickly let go. He knew she wasn’t bluffing.

Realizing Nathalie would never help him willingly, Cameron went for the jugular. "Nathalie, with Stewart Enterprises' current financial state, they couldn’t have possibly forked over billions for that convict. Where did you get that money?"

"None of your business," Nathalie snapped back.

Cameron smirked. "If I’m not wrong, Nathan got that money for you, didn’t he? It's dodgy—Nathan probably hacked into family accounts and funneled it out. Aren’t you afraid I’ll report you?"

Nathalie held his gaze, calm and steady. "Then go ahead and report. If you don’t, you’re just a coward."

With that, she turned on her heel and walked away.

Behind her, Cameron shouted in frustration, "Nathalie, why do we have to go down this road? Just lend me the money, and I’ll keep your secret."

Nathalie didn’t break stride. "Cameron, nothing pisses me off more than threats. Especially from you."

Cameron shrugged. "Just pretend you didn’t hear anything."

With that, he turned and got into his car, driving off.

Ashley stayed put, a sly smile creeping across her pretty face.

Over at the Quinn estate, Sarah sat on the sofa, cradling the dress Nathalie had given her. On the coffee table lay another fancy dress she had bought from a luxury boutique, with a price tag in the six figures.

Scottie walked in, surprised that Sarah didn’t jump up to take his bag and coat like she usually did.

"What's going on, darling?" Scottie teased, puzzled by her behavior.
