Reborn From Oblivion (Nellie and Cameron) novel Chapter 873

"What is it?" Morris asked.

Nathalie's long lashes fluttered, a hint of vulnerability in her eyes. "That day, I saw you huddled beneath the Brooklyn Bridge. In that moment, I almost lost my mind. I thought, if she was truly your soulmate, how could she leave you in such a place?"

Morris's eyes softened with a tender smile. It was no wonder Nathalie had always been wary of Ashley; she had sensed the hollowness in their relationship from the very start.

Morris confessed, "Honestly, I'm not into her. I don't even want to get married." He lowered his gaze, unable to face the disappointment in Nathalie's eyes.

Nathalie felt a deep sadness. "Someone as amazing as you deserves more than loneliness, Nathan. I won't force you into anything, but I hope you find someone who makes your heart race and lets you feel the warmth of a real home."

She gently stroked his hair, gratitude in her touch. "You brought my father back to me, gave me a family again. I want to offer you the same."

Morris felt a wave of panic. What was Nathalie getting at?

It wasn't long before he found out.

She threw a cultural soirée at her place, inviting her friends over. Under the guise of a casual gathering, Nathalie had Morris observe the scene, saying, "Nathan, these ladies are top-tier—smart, beautiful, and well-regarded. See if any catch your eye... I'll help set you up."

Morris was at a loss. "Nathalie, I'm not interested in any of them."

"Then what do you like?" Nathalie inquired.
