Chapter 113 Kate, Are You Hurt?
Kate’s words made Darlene’s face turn grim. She shot a venomous look at Kate and said sarcastically, “You must be jealous of me, right?”
Kate laughed at the accusation. She asked, “What would make me jealous of you? For your stupidity or jealousy that you’re a nobody?”
“You!”
Darlene’s chest heaved with anger. She sneered and looked mockingly at Kate. This music restaurant is a well–known couples‘ spot. Are you here with someone else because your husband doesn’t love you? Let me guess. Is it Simon?
“In college, you were always hanging around Simon. I didn’t expect that even after getting married, you’d still be playing such exciting games, hahahaha!
Darlene’s laugh was wild. Her friends joined in. Their eyes were full of malice as they looked at Kate.
Kate’s expression didn’t even change.
She simply stood up calmly, coldly looking down at Darlene with a faint smile on her lips.
Though Kate was petite, she stood at 165 cm, whereas Darlene was barely 160 cm. Standing up, Kate looked down on her from above.
“Your mouth is as annoying as ever.”
Kate watched as Darlene laughed arrogantly, a slight sneer playing on her lips. She swiftly raised her hand and delivered a forceful ‘smack to her face.
“Arghh!”
Darlene screamed tragically and covered her face in disbelief. She glared at Kate, and rage was ablaze in her heart. She screamed, “How dare you hit me?!”
As she shrieked, she lunged at Kate.
Kate quickly grabbed a glass of water from the table, splashed it at Darlene, and drenched her.
“Urghh!”
Darlene was furious. She ignored the water dripping from her face and clothes. Her face twisted with rage as she screamed, “You little witch! I’ll tear your face apart! What are you waiting for? Hold her down!
Her scream snapped the other three women out of their shock. They immediately moved to grab Kate.
Kate stayed in her seat, but those four rushed at her. Darlene’s sharp nails reached for Kate’s face, full of malice and intent on ruining her.
A series of dull thuds sounded, accompanied by screams of pain.
