Chapter 172 Tragedies
Thinking of her family, Kate’s heart softened a bit.
She wondered where her parents were traveling now and how their overseas business was progressing.
Whenever her parents went on trips, they were often out of contact, sometimes only calling once every few months. That’s how it had always been.
After Kate was forced to marry Eric, she had a falling out with her family and hadn’t heard from her parents for a long time. So now, Kate had no idea where they were.
Even when she asked Hendrick, he could only tell her they were somewhere in Northern Europe, without any specific details.
Isaac was even more elusive, constantly on the move. As a mercenary and a tough instructor at an overseas training base, he was often out of touch. But whenever he could reach them, he would call Kate first.
Kate clenched her fist slightly at this thought.
It had been three years since she last heard from Isaac.
Linus, a professional race car driver, traveled the world to compete. He loved to send Kate photos. of himself looking cool before races, asking if he looked handsome. When he won, he would collect his medals and give them all to Kate upon returning home.
Those medals were his testament to glory, yet he gave them to his sister without hesitation.
Now, it had also been three years since she received any photos from Linus.
They had deleted each other’s contact information, and she had forced them to do it.
Even Hendrick couldn’t reach them now. Though Kate regretted her past actions, she couldn’t reconnect with them.
Clearing her chaotic thoughts, Kate took a deep breath.
She would not let the tragedies of her previous life repeat!
Now that she was back, she would live differently. She would rebuild herself, learn, and grow stronger, becoming an asset rather than a weakness for her family.
Kate continued reading Eric’s notes, absorbing as much as she could despite feeling overwhelmed. As the workday ended, she hurried to Silverwood Hospital.
Eric was still unconscious, but Lucas had woken up.
Balance.
1 Coins
With that, he quickly returned to his work.
