Chapter 203 Out of My League
As George was driving, he kept sneaking peeks at Kate in the back seat, occasionally looking genuinely surprised.
At the same time, he couldn’t shake off the feeling that he hadn’t been paying enough attention to the Summer Estate lately, which was his job to look after.
Most of his time was consumed by dealing with Eric’s injury, juggling between the needs of the Davison Group and HN Studio, and barely giving the Summer Estate a second thought. This oversight meant he missed the fact that there was a sneaky mole in the mix at the estate!
Kate, on her part, was trying to play it smart by dating Eric to both cement their partnership and sniff out who the mole was.
Talk about complicated!
Madam was really starting to think like the Boss. She’d practically memorised his meeting video after watching it around twenty times…. Yeah, she was basically channelling the Boss now.
The car smoothly pulled up outside the partner factory.
Betty led the bodyguard squad from the Summer Estate, which was more than a dozen strong.
Madam, Boss, She greeted Kate and Eric with a warm smile as they stepped out of the car, then quickly shifted to a more severe tone to update Kate. “Madam, we caught the spy. She’s right
there!”
Pointing at the woman who was being held back by two bodyguards under a big tree, Betty looked mad. “I felt she was not to be trusted when she started being too nice to me!”
The woman caught under the tree desperately trying to get free quickly said, “I didn’t do anything wrong, Madam!”
Kate just looked on without much interest. She remembered her; her name was Terresa, and she worked in the kitchen, taking care of the groceries and washing vegetables. She used to get along okay with Holly.
But they weren’t super close, and after Holly left, Terresa became quieter and kept to herself, doing her job under Betty without any problems.
It’s sad. Turns out this person was playing both sides, too.
“Hmm? Really?” Kate asked with a smirk, motioning with her finger and sounding unbothered, “Where’s her phone then?”
The bodyguard quickly handed over Terresa’s phone to Kate, looking a bit reluctant as he mumbled, “We’ve looked through her phone; it’s clean, and we didn’t find anything shady.”

The bodyguards: “awkward silence*
Finished
They expected Kate to pull off some tech wizardry–digging up hidden chats or something- after insisting on getting the phone so confidently and just messing with it.
But nope, Kate just gave the phone to the Boss like it was nothing! And she even openly said she couldn’t sort it out herself.
Eric just laughed, shooting her a look, and after messing around with the phone for a bit, he managed to bring back all the deleted texts and chat histories.
When Kate decided to step back, Terresa started freaking out. She tried to escape the bodyguard’s grip, but no luck–the guy was like a statue, holding her firmly. All she could do was watch as Eric went through her phone, his face getting more severe by the second.
