I didn't feel like responding to Halley for now, I just felt really upset, like my mind was going blank.
If my parents saw this news, they would be super pissed, especially my mom, her heart wasn't strong, she needed to keep her emotions in check.
Holding back my anger, I dialed Neil's number.
He didn't pick up.
The second time I tried calling him, he even hung up on me.
I was livid. I needed to find someone to take down those news as soon as possible, because if they continued to spread, things would get worse.
First, I shared the situation in our group chat, asking Stella and others to help me out with this.
Besides reaching out to the person who posted it and asking them to delete it, I also needed to be ready legally. If they refuse to take down the content, then I would have no choice but to go to court.
Surprisingly, the poster was adamant about not deleting it.
I didn't know his identity, but I could sense from our conversation that he wasn't afraid of me calling the police. Soon after, Stella called me. I told her what happened and she asked me, "Are you sure only Neil has those photos?"
"I think so, but I'm not sure if he's the one who posted them." I answered, frowning.
"Well, he must be doing this on purpose to get back at you!" Stella said angrily, "He must be doing this because of the BonnieBitch incident. Rena, let's find a hacker and get rid of those photos."
"Okay, you go ahead and get that sorted, I'll go find Neil." I needed to get some answers from Neil. If he was the one who posted the photos, then he needed to be the one to solve this problem, otherwise those photos might show up again.
I drove to Grandeur Oaks Estates, thinking he might be there.
But when I arrived, Neil wasn't there.
I had no choice but to go to Sterling Estates. From what I remember, Neil didn't like Sterling Estates, I didn't think he would return there after our divorce.
The lights at Sterling Estates were on, the servants I had asked Bailey to hire were bustling around, I had no idea what they were busy with.
When they saw me, one of them exclaimed in surprise, "Mrs. Whitmore?"
Then she realized she got it wrong and quickly corrected herself, "Ms. Finch, what brings you here?"
"I'm looking for Neil, is he here?" I asked.
"Mr. Whitmore isn't here..." The maid looked a bit weird, her tone was awkward, "Ms. Finch, why don't you try calling Mr. Whitmore?"
I looked at the villa not far away, the light in the master bedroom was on. If Neil wasn't there, then who was inside?
I had a strong feeling that led me towards the villa.
"The Whitmore family sure is loaded, look at this living room, it's as big as our old house..." In the living room, Dean was exclaiming.
"Dean, do you think it's okay for us to move in here?" Ada asked hesitantly.
Dean was sitting on my custom-made sofa, comforting Ada, "We had no choice, Bonnie is very strong, she wouldn't accept Mr. Whitmore's money. We had to sell the house we just bought to pay for her upcoming surgery, where else could we live?"
Ada sighed, then turned her head. When she saw me standing in the doorway, her face changed immediately.
Dean also saw me and immediately stood up, looking at me awkwardly.
I raised my voice and said without hesitation, "Ada, you always say you don't support your daughter being with Neil, but have you ever really opposed it? Now you and your husband are ready to rely on your daughter marrying into a rich family and become rich overnight?"
Ada was stunned, her face pale.
When Bonnie heard my harsh words, she wiped her tears and confronted me, "You've divorced Mr. Whitmore, this mansion isn't yours. What right do you have to kick us out?"
I snorted, opening my handbag where the property division agreement Neil gave me was kept.
In front of Bonnie, Ada, and Dean, I unfolded the agreement and signed my name without any hesitation, "Now half of this mansion is mine, you guys can leave."
Bonnie was stunned. She probably never expected me to sign the property division agreement under such circumstances.
Footsteps echoed from the stairwell. Dean and Cooper appeared first, followed by Neil.
Seeing me, Cooper seemed a bit guilty.
Neil's face was cold, his eyes sharply swept over Bonnie and me.
Bonnie looked helplessly at Neil, "Mr. Whitmore, Cooper brought us here, but Irene came over and hit me, telling us to leave, this..."
"How could you hit Bonnie? It was Neil who asked me to arrange for Bonnie and them. If there's a mistake, it's mine!" Cooper retorted angrily.
I had never felt so irritated. Listening to Bonnie's complaints, Cooper's accusations, I held back my discomfort and went to the cloakroom.
As expected, all the clothes and jewelry I didn't take with me were messed up.
I picked up the silk nightgown left on the floor and stormed out, throwing it at Bonnie, "You're even wearing my nightgown. Don't you feel disgusting?"
