Reborn, Reawakened, Rekindled novel Chapter 159

"Nope, Irene. I didn't wish you dead!"

"...I think I'm falling for Mr. Whitmore!"

"Irene, could you not tell Mr. Whitmore?"

"It's not Neil who planted the materialistic seed in my heart, it's you."

The conversation between me and Bonnie came out clearly. This was when I was hospitalized because I was kidnapped. She admitted to me that she deliberately ignored my cries for help and distracted Neil's attention.

After Bonnie heard this, her face turned pale and her eyes were filled with panic. She rushed over to snatch my phone.

Alicia blocked her, "What are you doing? Rena's not done yet!"

Neil's face turned dark and ugly, unprecedentedly so. When he went out to find me, he was genuinely worried about me. But Bonnie was cunning, she not only wanted to harm me, but also tried to keep him from finding out.

His hand slowly clenched, and the veins on the back of his hand bulged, showing his anger.

"Let her continue!" Neil said, his voice cold and dangerous.

Ada and Dean realized that what I had was very disadvantageous to their daughter, so they hurriedly tried to snatch it.

Mitch and Barbara unceremoniously blocked them, preventing them from getting close to me.

The audio was still playing. The second part was when I was hospitalized in Caladonia to protect my fetus, and Bonnie pushed me off the bed.

"Irene, Mr. Whitmore loves me... I won't let you ruin my happiness... Are you trying to save your baby?"

"Your sweet dream of using the baby as a bargaining chip has just burst!"

Even the most accomplished actor could not perform the satisfaction and cruelty in this sentence. The crisp voice was light and airy, as if telling a beautiful story.

Hearing this sentence again, my heart ached.

Stella knew I had some recordings of Bonnie, but she didn't know the details. After listening, she couldn't help but lose her temper and wanted to rush up to hit Bonnie.

Mitch looked terrible. He had always seen Bonnie as a good girl. Now, hearing the words in the recording, his worldview must have collapsed.

He stopped Stella, "Darling, don't get excited, think about the baby."

"Bonnie, how can you keep pretending? You wanted to kill Rena, and you killed her baby!" Barbara yelled.

"Neil, is this your true love? Are you blind?!" Alicia pointed at Neil and asked loudly.

Neil didn't refute anything, he didn't look at Bonnie anymore, he was looking at me.

Cooper was stunned. He was still immersed in the recording and couldn't recover.

Looking at Bonnie, who was already out of her mind, he asked incredulously, "Bonnie, did you really do those things?"

"No, no!" Bonnie tried to defend herself, "The recording is fake, I never said those words, and I never did those things. I'll call the police, I'll prove my innocence!"

Dean couldn't accept this. He immediately stopped Ada, then turned to Neil and questioned, "Mr. Whitmore, didn't you provoke my daughter first? If you were married at the time, why did you do that?"

Bonnie stood in front of me, her face as pale as death, her eyes full of resentment. I had torn off her most beautiful mask, and now she probably wanted to tear me apart too, right?

"Enough!" Neil lost his patience, his expression gloomy.

Because of his extreme anger, his eyes were already red, and he gave off a terrifying aura, "Bonnie, if it wasn't for Karina's heart, we would have broken off all contact when you went abroad to study. You should know very well why I continued to help you, to protect you. You dared to hurt my child?!"

Bonnie knew all of this, of course, but she kept fighting it, never letting a word slip out to the world. Otherwise, the widespread rumors about Neil doting on her would turn into her just being a stand-in for someone else. How ridiculous that would be.

I bet she's seen the media reports on me, the so-called ex-wife whose marriage and divorce were met with either pity or ridicule behind my back.

Ada and Dean were hearing about this for the first time, and they didn't understand any of it.

"Bonnie, who is Karina?" Dean asked.

"She's the one who now possessed that heart, and the first girl Neil ever liked, Karina."

I answered his question, "Your daughter already knew all this, she even met with the Aaron family, didn't you know?"

Ada shook her head blankly, "No, I didn't know. I only knew that the year she had her surgery, someone came to see her, they talked at our house for a bit and took a picture and left..."

"That was probably Karina's mother." I began to feel a bit sorry for Ada, her daughter was keeping so many things from her.

"Stop it!!" Bonnie suddenly covered her ears and screamed, "Are you trying to drive me to my death? Fine, I'll go die now!"
