Reborn Through Fire (Kisa and Gilbert) novel Chapter 1050

Chapter 1050 Daddy Has to Stop Keeping You for Himself

The children’s eyes instantly lit up upon seeing Kisa. Ada ran toward her and hugged her waist. “Aunty, it’s been so long. I finally get to see you again.”

Kisa was thinking about things along the way home and came back muddled. But, this hug from the little one’s soft hand warmed her heart in an instant. “I come back every day.”

“You always come home late. By the time you’re back, my brothers and I are already asleep,” said Ada as she pulled Kisa to the dining table. Madalyn’s face had darkened. Kisa glanced past Madalyn and landed her gaze on Andrew and Blake. Even though the kids were not hers, she felt warm and secure looking at them.

“Aunty…” Andrew called Kisa and softly said, “We are going to talk to daddy.”

Kisa laughed, “What is it you want to talk to him about?”

“We want Daddy to stop keeping you for himself. We can’t even see your shadow throughout the day,” Andrew said thoughtfully. Kisa could not help but burst out laughing. The more she laughed, the more her eyes were wet. ‘Gilbert’s still on a business trip out of town right now. I’m afraid he won’t keep me for himself anymore once he returns. After all, I made a mistake, a terrible mistake. He probably won’t forgive me after he returns.‘

“Aunty, I heard daddy say that you like stew pork ribs.” Ada stood up, stretched her arms out straight, and gave Kisa a piece of pork rib. “My brothers and I had the

servants specially made this for you. Have a taste!”

Andrew and Ada looked at each other, as they just noticed that only Kisa had come back alone without their dad. If Madalyn did not ask about it, the kids might have forgotten about their father. Kisa was slightly taken aback. ‘It seems that Gilbert left in a hurry since he didn’t even inform Madalyn about his business trip.‘

Kisa pursed her lips and said, “He went on a business trip out of town.”

Madalyn’s brow instantly furrowed, and the depression on her face was getting obvious. “Why am I completely clueless about his business trip?”

When she heard Madalyn’s words, Kisa hurriedly added, “Davian was the one who just told me.”
