Chapter 1055 Secret Compartment

Kisa paused as she furrowed her brows confusedly.

She knew that she had heard it right. Indeed, there was a clicking sound in the room.

However, her phone was still ringing.

Kisa hastily crawled over and switched off her phone without even looking at the caller’s phone number.

On Gilbert’s side.

He listened to his phone silently. “I’m sorry, but the number you have dialed is currently busy.”

He lifted the edge of his mouth and threw his phone to the side before shutting his eyes.

He deserved it anyway. He should have never called her when he already knew that she betrayed him, and he still hated her for it!

He should have seen it coming!

Kisa crawled down to the end of the bed and lifted the blanket before looking at the bedpost.

Then, she saw something like a button between that bedpost and the floor.

It looked like it was pressed down. Perhaps she accidentally did that just now.

She touched the button and started to feel suspicious.

‘This doesn’t look like it belongs here at all.’

Then, she checked the other bedposts and found that only that one particular bedpost had a button.

‘Could it be a switch connected to some kind of secret compartment?’

After all, she was very certain that she heard a soft clicking sound.

She looked around as she thought, trying to find out if there was anything different about the room.

However, the room looked the same, and all the decorations were still in the same place as they used to be.

The counter and nightstand did not move at all, either.

Then, Kisa went to look in the washroom but found nothing strange either. She went back to the bedpost and tried to press the button again.

The button popped back up, and the same clicking sound could be heard again.

Kisa tensed up as she looked at the floor automatically.
