Chapter 1073 My Heart Has Turned Too Soft

He kneeled down and picked up the paper to scan through it swiftly. After a moment, the corner of his lips twitched into a playful smile.

Once Eylul came out, she saw him standing in the yard holding a newspaper while smiling weirdly. She did not walk over and instead walked to the side of the car. She also did not urge Kohen and merely waited by the car silently. However, after waiting for a moment, Kohen suddenly walked toward the inside of the house.

She could not help but furrow her brow. Her mouth opened a few times, and she tried to shout for him but still could not bring herself to call for him. Even after being married for so long, she seemed to have never called him by his name once.

Kohen had already walked into the house in significant strides. Eylul could only follow him inside as well.

Gilbert had just finished eating his breakfast and was about to take out the contract he had discussed yesterday to review it so that he could find any improvements that needed to be done. Then, he saw Kohen walk back in again with giant strides.

He leaned back and smiled at Kohen, “What’s up? Thought it through and decided to not go the hospital?”

“Not going anymore,” Kohen also smiled. His smile was dubious.

Gilbert could not help but scrunch his eyebrows. ‘Could this man have a scheme in

mind?’

Eylul followed Kohen from behind. Hearing Kohen says that they were not going to the hospital, she unexpectedly gave a sigh of relief. Both of them sat back down at the dining table.

Kohen smiled and spoke to Gilbert, “Actually, I was quite confused. Kisa harmed you in such a way and betrayed you. You do not plan to punish her harshly?”

Gilbert squeezes his brows unhappily. ‘Everything was perfectly fine; why is he bringing up this thing again?’

Pleased to the man’s expression darken, Kohen sneered, “If my woman ever dared to harm me, I wouldn’t be a McCray if I didn’t torture her until she begged for the sweet release of death and deny it from her. Mr. Kooper, your heart is still too soft.”

“My heart has turned too soft?” Gilbert gave a light chuckle and said coldly, “You really think this incident would just be over like that?”
