Chapter 1079 A Woman’s Worth Increases While Bearing Children
“Don’t you lie to me. The doctor gave you prenatal pills. There’s no way he would ask you to move around more. Do you think I’ve never given birth before?”
“Of course not. The prenatal care pills are just for backup,” Kisa lied. “The doctor said that regular exercise can promote the development of the fetus and make me
stronger, which will help with the birth.”
Madalyn glanced at Kisa in suspicion.
“If you’re worried, you can send a bodyguard with me when I’m out. My show is coming to an end; I can’t just leave the production,” she hurriedly added.
‘This will deceive her,‘ she thought.
‘I’m going to the hospital to get proof that I’m not pregnant tomorrow. She’ll believe me then. There is no way I will be grounded and forced to stay in this house tomorrow.‘
“I think what Mrs. Kooper said makes sense, Madam. Being locked up at home every day isn’t good for the baby, and pregnant women should get fresh air every day. I think it’s best we listen to her and get a bodyguard to follow her around,” said George.
Madalyn thought about it for a moment and nodded. “Alright, alright. I’ll listen to her this time.” After finishing speaking, she glared at Kisa again and said, “I’m telling you, if you hurt a hair on my precious great–grandchild’s head, you’re dead.”
Kisa pursed her lips stiffly. She did not know how to react to Madalyn’s love for the ‘ child‘ in her womb when she clearly hated her.
“Now, eat up. Don’t let my precious great–grandchild starve!” Madelyn told her. Kisa wiped her forehead in embarrassment and continued eating her food with her head down, thinking everything would be fine after she got proof at the hospital tomorrow. She felt guilty that Madalyn was so worried about her non–existent child.
His words made Ada happy. She smiled so hard that they could not even see her eyes. “I hope it’s a baby brother. That way, we can all protect Ada when we get older,” Blake said. Ada tilted her head, thinking for a while before she said, “That sounds great. They can take care of me when we grow up. But it’s okay. I don’t mind if it’s a baby brother or baby sister; I’ll love them either way.”
