Chapter 1144 Not Entirely Alone

She randomly grabbed a shirt to have a look.

It was a pink, long-sleeved fairy dress. The material of the dress was thick, and the style was quite nice

too.

Kisa immediately tried on the dress. She looked good in it.

Although it was a loose-fitting dress, she did not look chubby in it. She looked gentle and relaxed in the dress.

Kisa then took one of the pairs of shoes that Gilbert had bought in the morning.

She looked quite pretty in that dress with the flat shoes on.

Kisa then looked through the other clothes.

The design and color of the clothes were all very beautiful. They were a lot nicer than the clothes she saw in the morning.

‘I’m not sure why he suddenly bought me these clothes. But, since he bought them for me, I’ll just put them on. Just so that he doesn’t pick on me.’

She then went downstairs.

Madalyn was watching a Broadway show.

Kisa stayed silent as she quietly walked toward the outside.

She decided to eat out to avoid arguing with Madalyn.

Just after she took a few steps, the maid suddenly stopped her.

“Mrs. Kooper, you’re awake.”

Kisa nodded. She then continued to walk out.

The maid hurriedly said, “Mr. Kooper ordered us to make bone broth. He told us to serve you that once you’re awake. So, Mrs. Kooper, please drink it before you go out.”

Kisa was stunned for a moment.

‘Didn’t Gilbert and I quarrel? Why did he still order the maid to make me bone broth?

‘He bought me clothes and shoes. And, he even asked the maid to make me a bone broth. What’s he trying to do?

‘Isn’t he still angry with me? Shouldn’t he just ignore me?’

Just when she was thinking to herself, the maid had already put the bone broth on the dining table. There were two freshly prepared tuna sandwiches too. Her appetite was built up just by looking at them.

Kisa was very hungry.

She swallowed as she thought, ‘I’ll just eat at home.”
