Chapter 1426 You’re Going to Be a Good Girl, Arent You?
Gilbert was being stared down by the three children.
Andrew said, "Daddy, you cant be so harsh on Ma'am."
Ada said, "Daddy, Ma'am is pregnant. You need to be more considerate."
Blake said. "Uncle Gilbert, you got to be gentle with Ma’am. She's not feeling well."
Kisa was so touched by the children's defense of her that she was on the verge of tears.
But Gilbert did not let the moment linger, he addressed the children with all seriousness. "I'm doing this for her own good. Do you want to see her looking all pale and gaunt? Or your future little bro or sis all skin and bones?"
The three little ones all shook their heads in unison.
"So, what do you think? Should Ma'am be a good girl and drink her soup?" Gilbert asked.
Again, the three little ones nodded in agreement and turned to look at Kisa.
"Ma'am, Daddy's right. You got to drink your soup quick." Andrew piped up.
"Ma'am, it is for the baby's sake. Even if you can't swallow it all, you've got to try." Ada added.
"Ma'am, Uncle Gilbert is only being tough on you because he cares," Blake said.
Kisa could not help but roll her eyes, immediately retracting the emotions she had just felt.
"Alright, enough with the drama. Drink up already.’’ Madalyn snapped, her words always so cutting and sharp.
Kisa let out a sigh and fished out the pork ribs and lotus root from the soup bowl. Without further ado, she tilted her head back and chugged the soup down in one big gulp.
