Reclaiming My Broken Luna (Astrid and Killian) novel Chapter 159

Damien’s POV

A smile stretched my lips as I peered at my precious, beautiful daughter, who was silently asleep in my arms.

I stared at her long lashes and her cute button nose. I know she will grow up to be a beautiful lady someday. She just came out into this world, but I couldn’t already deny her beauty.

I can’t believe that Giselle would be so willing to murder such a pretty baby with an innocent and angelic face.

I felt bad for my daughter that she had a cruel and cold-hearted mother. I’m so glad to finally hold her in my arms, away from her mother, who has been thinking of getting rid of her.

I was afraid that she wouldn’t be able to make it. My daughter hasn’t been born yet, but Giselle has already been threatening me to kill her while she was still in her womb.

To save my daughter, I willingly colluded with her and fulfilled all her conditions so I could take my daughter with me.

It was I who provided for the son that she wanted, which would match Killian’s DNA.

“Alpha, whose baby is this? Luna Vanessa will turn nuts if you return home with a baby in your arms!” one of the men that I brought to drive the car for me raised his voice out of concern.

His eyes were wide; he looked at me as if I had turned insane when he saw me carry a newborn baby so lovingly in my arms.

Vanessa had no idea about the agreement that I had made with Giselle, and neither did the others. I know if she knew about it, she would surely ruin everything and would go against taking care of my daughter.

Vanessa thought I had left for a business trip, but she had no idea that I had gone to the Silvermoon Pack to fetch my precious daughter.

“She’s my daughter. Of course I have to take her home,” I replied casually, making him freeze in shock.

“Sh-She,” he couldn’t say the words as he looked at me like I had committed a terrible crime.

I ignored him as I maintained my attention to my daughter, who felt incredibly peaceful in my hold.

It took me a lot of hard work and too many nearly-failed attempts to be able to have my daughter safe in my arms.

Killian’s restrictions on Giselle made it difficult for me to execute my end of the agreement, but of course, I would never let my daughter down.

I really gave my all in order to successfully switch my daughter with another baby and make Killian believe that the switch never happened.

I didn’t dare to hide it from them; sooner or later, they will find out the truth. My daughter is going to be a part of my family, and they have to know that.

I didn’t sleep as I waited for the Doctor to finish all the tests. I was happy and relieved to find out that my daughter is perfectly fine and healthy, which is all I could wish for.

Despite Giselle’s previous attempts of trying to kill my unborn daughter, I’m glad that she did not suffer any complications.

“Damien! Damien!” Vanessa’s loud voice echoed throughout the halls as she yelled my name angrily before she could even reach me.

“Is it true? That you brought a baby here with you?” Vanessa demanded with a scowl.

Judging by her clothes, it was clear that she had just woken up and went straight here.

I stared at the Omegas whose heads were lowered behind her. I guess they already told her what happened.

“It’s true,” I answered monotonously.

Vanessa’s nostrils flared in anger when she heard my answer. “Whose child is that?” she asked the question at the wrong place and the wrong time.
