Refusing To Divorce (Julia and Harry) novel Chapter 122

Chapter 122

Harry received a call from the butler and hurriedly rushed back to the Wright mansion instead of chasing Julia. The butler, standing respectfully beside him, was someone who had watched Harry grow up, almost like family to him

Looking towards the second floor, the butler said with an aged voice, Mr. Harry, Mrs. Lucia came back and locked herself in

учи her room, refusing to see anyone. I was worried about her, so I led back.”

Harry said. Tll go up and take a look”

At the door of the room, Lucia heard Harry’s voice outside and me to open it. After the door opened, Harry saw her holding his father’s portrait. She did not even glance at Harry before turning back into the room

The room was quiet except for Lucia’s suppressed sobbing. Seeing Lucia this distressed reminded Harry of the day when his father’s body was found

Harry was not good with words, and seeing Lucia crying made him even more speechless, not knowing what to say. The atmosphere became even more heavy and oppressive

Suddenly, Lucia turned around holding Melvin’s portrait. Tears shimmered in her eyes, and she fixed her gaze firmly on Harry’s face With a trembling voice, she asked, Do you remember how your father died?”

“I remember,Harry replied with a heavy heart. Since Melvin’s death, Harry hardly ever looked at his father’s photos. Despite Harry not believing Melvin had a crossdressing fetish, the way Melvin’s body was found suggested otherwise. There was no evidence to prove otherwise

For Harry, who had always admired his father since childhood, it was undoubtedly a heavy blow

Lucia scolded, You don’t remember. All you remember is your promise to Vincent. Do you know why Vincent was willing to die to save your life? It’s because Vincent knew his father killed yours. He wanted to make amends!”

Pointing to Melvin’s portrait, Lucia continued, Do you think Vincent valued your friendship? If it weren’t for him, risking his life for yours, would you have helped him take care of Arya

Harry remained silent as Lucia’s emotions grew more and moremtense. The butler heard it and hurriedly pushed the door open. Lucia looked at Harry with sadness and disappointment

Harry tried to reach out to support Lucia, but she pushed him away

She exclaimed, Harry, you’re a descendant of the Wright family, Melvin’s son. That’s why you must separate from Arya!”

Harry replied, I know”

Before Harry could finish his sentence, Lucia interrupted. If you know, why did you let Arya stay in Cromont City for so long

Suddenly feeling overwhelmed. Lucia fainted in front of Harry. Fortunately, Harry quickly reached out to catch Lucia before she fell to the ground

He laid Lucia on the bed, and the butler had already gone to fetch the family doctor

News of Lucia’s fainting quickly reached Julia’s ears, and she had to rush back to the Wright mansion as quickly as possible

At the Wright mansion, Julia stood at Lucia’s door and heard the family doctor advising Harry. The butler brought medicine up and let her in. She and Harry briefly made eye contact, then quickly looked away

Harry didn’t know who had informed Julia, but once the family doctor left, Julia stood by Lucia’s bedside, who hadn’t woken up yet. The room was quiet, and when Harry returned, Julia was still lost in her thoughts, not hearing his footsteps

Chapter 122

A pair of sturdy hands rested on Julia’s shoulders, and she suddenly snapped out of her reverie. She turned abruptly to meet. Harry’s gaze once again. Just like before, she quickly averted her eyes, looking elsewhere

She noticed the photos placed nearby and could probably guess what had happened between Lucia and Harry. She didn’t feel like asking, just wanted to be quiet, preferably away from Harry

Mom hasn’t woken up yet, I’ll have the servants prepare something for you to eat first, Harry said

No need.Julia coldly refused, indicating she didn’t want to continue talking with Harry

Harry sat on the other side. He knew Julia intended to avoid him. He knew her anger hadn’t subsided. He also knew that no matter how he explained, she wouldn’t listen. So, Harry chose silence

They didn’t know when Lucia would wake up, and they sat from afternoon until evening. It wasn’t until Julia’s stomach rumbled that Harry forcibly dragged her out of the room. Dinner had been prepared in the kitchen, waiting for them

Julia was forced to sit at the dining table. Even though there were delicacies in front of her, she had no appetite

Eat something first. After you’ve eaten, Ill explain everything to you.Harry said. Seeing Julia ignoring him, he added, Whatever you want to know, I’ll tell you.”

Julia’s expression changed slightly, hesitated for a moment, then started to eat. She had no appetite, so she just ate a little to appease Harry

After a while, Harry took Julia for a walk in the garden. The quiet night, mixed with the cool breeze, somewhat eased their moods

It was a rare opportunity to walk calmly with Harry in the garden, smelling the fragrance of flowers in the air, watching the stars twinkling in the night sky, and the moon shining brightly
