"No." Sabrina refused outright and slapped his hand away.
Nelson was wearing a loose sweater.
He placed his hands on the back of the couch and gazed at her with a hint of amusement in his eyes, clearly in a good mood.
After a while, he finally spoke, "What are you thinking of? Am I that much of a beast? I told you that unless I get your consent, I won't touch you. I won't break my promise."
She felt slightly embarrassed for misunderstanding him. "I'm going to bed. You can sleep on the sofa."
As she got up to leave, he grabbed her wrist. "Come on, let me take you somewhere relaxing."
Sabrina knew he was trying to make up for yesterday's incident, but she wasn't having any of it. "I'm not going anywhere. I just want to sleep."
"You're coming, whether you like it or not. I will carry you if I have to," Nelson stated, his tone gentle yet domineering.
She was annoyed by his fake kindness.
She knew, deep down, he wanted her to listen to him.
She took a deep breath and said, "Nelson, I admit I can't win against you, but don't think you can dictate my life."
Since he was relentless, she had to compromise.
To her surprise, he had arranged a full spa treatment for her.
The ambiance of the room was soothing because of the gentle lightning.
Her tired body felt even more relaxed under the orange blossom mist coming from the diffuser.
Sabrina undressed herself and lay on the soft bed. She believed Nelson must've often arranged such treatments for Pamela.
When Nelson entered, he saw the massage therapist spreading oil on Sabrina's smooth white back. A blanket covered her lower back, highlighting her curves.
He sat on the sofa and listened to her gentle voice instructing the therapist to be more firm.
Nelson felt a stir of emotion as she had once called his name in that same soft voice.
"Nelson, we're married," he recalled her saying.
At that time, he was annoyed by her happy expression as she called his name in joy after receiving their marriage certificate.
"Nelson, today's fish is very tender."
"Nelson, Lumina is entering the rainy season. You should wear more clothes."
"Nelson, do you like the custom shirts I ordered for you?"
