Chapter 569 Denial
Jordy looked at George with a sharp gaze.
The air in the house seemed to get cold in an instant, but they had long been used to it and didn‘t
care about it at all with unbridled smiles.
George quipped without fear, “Why are you looking at me like that? Am I right? Man, you exposed. We‘ve been friends since we were kids, but it‘s so obvious. However, when you‘re so worried about her, did she forget about you?”
The mutual sarcasm between friends seemed to be the happiest thing.
The air in the room seemed to be cooler, which was thrilling
Jordy‘s cold voice came.
“Gloria‘s proposal is the best I‘ve seen. I‘m not taking sides.”
George laughed immediately. “Denial makes no sense.”
Jordy gave him a cold look, ignoring him.
Seeing that Jordy never wanted to speak with a gloomy expression, Carlos narrowed his eyes.
“Your grandpa wants you to be engaged, so what do you think? The recording only contains half the conversation.”
That recording contained only the words of Jordy‘s grandfather and no one else. If he guessed right, Jordy wouldn‘t agree. If he did, Martha wouldn‘t hesitate to make it public.
George laughed before Jordy could speak.
“It‘s obvious! Mr. Collins can‘t forget the woman, so of course, he wouldn‘t agree.”
“Don‘t you have anything to do?” Jordy‘s expression darkened even more.
George frowned at him immediately. “What? What are you going to do? I‘m your friend.”
“Of course. I‘m your friend who can do anything for you, so what will you do to me?” George took a more and more dissatisfied tone.
As they always did, George kept fussing but was overwhelmed by Jordy in the end.
