Ambrose knew that they were done for.

Immediately, he whipped out a dagger and, at everyone's gazes of disbelief, stabbed Chris in the heart.

Chris wanted to question Ambrose, but before he could finish, he lost all his energy and collapsed onto the ground. His eyes were wide open; he couldn't rest in peace.
