"What?" Deirdre could not believe what she had just heard. She was so angry that she felt pain in her chest.

Aman had nearly violated her. If Declan had not shown up at the right time, Ronan would have succeeded already. Now, it seemed to her that Cillian was just going to take on Ronan's side and that he was not going to do anything about it.
