Chapter 720 He Doesn't Respect You

The things that happened last night surfaced in her head. Kyran had not gone easy on her at all, especially not on her neck. She felt that he must've left a very obvious mark on her neck.

It was very embarrassing, and she could not raise her head up. Tobey got to his feet and said, "Wait for me here."

Then, he went out of the coffee shop. After a few minutes, he came back and handed a bag to Deirdre.

“Put it on."

Deirdre stuck her hand into the bag and pulled a scarf out. She wrapped it around her neck, finally feeling a bit better.

Tobey tapped his finger on the table and said with a fake smile, "Deirdre, it seems like your boyfriend doesn’t respect you."

Deirdre raised her head.

Tobey added, "He knew that you were coming out to see me today, yet he did this to you. He didn't care at all about how much trouble what he did would cause you, and I don't think you'd really like to be in the limelight because of it either."

Deirdre fell silent. Tobey was right. However, Kyran had been very considerate, so he shouldn't have done this on purpose.

Maybe his emotions had gotten the best of him last night. After all, even she did not know what she had done last night in the heat of the moment.

"He didn't do it on purpose..."

Tobey sighed and said, "Deirdre, do you love him so much that you'll defend him even though he did something wrong?"

‘Tobey, I’m an adult. I have the ability to judge whether a person is good or bad. I know you care about me and worry that I might get deceived by other people, but Kyran is a good man. There’s no reason for him to deceive me.” Deirdre laughed lightly and said, "I'm sure you know that I'm blind and my face was disfigured in the past. I can't even take care of myself. I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life that way, but Kyran didn't mind. He’s the one who stayed with me through my darkest days.

"So I know very well what kind of person he is. He might lose his temper over something, but I can assure you that he'd never hurt me."

Seeing how confident Deirdre was, Tobey smiled lightly and said, "Since you trust him so much, there's nothing I can say. I'm just an outsider after all.”

“I'm sorry, Tobey.”

"Don't be,” Tobey said. "I'm not going to break you up. I just want to remind you that he isn't as good as you think he is.

"Since you think you know him very well, there's nothing I can say. After all, I just met him once, so I might be wrong about him."
