Serena looked very sexy, with smoky makeup. She didn’t look e a 16–year–old girl at all. She carried a designer handbag that cost around 40 grand. 

“No need to give me that look. You’ll end up like me soon enough.” 

Serena glanced at Mayra’s backpack and smirked. “I’m just green with envy that you’ve got a rich sugar daddy like your big brother. But hey, doesn’t Mr. Barlow spoil you enough? 

“I bet he wouldn’t hesitate to give you a couple of thousand bucks as a monthly allowance if you asked, right? Why do you have to fall for that poor guy? Just an old bicycle makes you this happy?” 

Seeing the Barlow family’s car approaching in the distance, Mayra hoisted her backpack and ignored Serena. 

“What does it matter to you how things are between us? It’s none of your business. You want to threaten me with a single photo? Go ahead and try it. Let’s see if Andy is on your side or mine.” 

The car stopped in front of Mayra, who shot Serena a cold look. “One last thing. Relying on men never ends well. How many more years do you think you can 

live with that face? 

“Don’t think you know it all just because you’ve been through some stuff. To others, you’re just a pet, wagging your tail to please men.” 

No matter how Mayra scolded her, Serena chuckled, unbothered. “Sure! I’m just a little puppy who knows how to please her master. What can you do to me?” 

“Nothing, and it’s none of my concern. I just think you’re pretty pathetic. Keep your distance from me from now on.” Mayra left with a final word. She opened the car door and settled into the back seat. 

Serena, who had a change of expression, didn’t matter to Mayra anymore. 

Mayra had seen so many examples in her past life. All those women lost themselves and struggled to break free from their chains. Mistresses who meddled in others‘ relationships would never end up well. 

She was a living example of that.
