"I... I..." Vanessa stammered, struggling to find the right words.
Odie jumped in, "Ms. Vanessa wants to make peace with Mrs. Costello, which is why she invited her over. Isn't that right, Ms. Vanessa?"
"...Yes, that's what I mean," Vanessa replied with an awkward smile.
Sandy frowned and said, "Vanessa, you're too nice. Why would you want to reconcile with someone like her? If you really want Colby, my dad can help you win him back!"
Sophie, overhearing Sandy's rant, couldn't help but chuckle.
Sandy shot Sophie a glare, "What's so funny?"
"Nothing, really. I just find it impressive that your dad is so powerful he can even snatch someone's husband. Seems like there's nothing he can't do overseas."
"Of course!" Sandy responded proudly, but then she realized, "Wait, are you mocking me?"
"Not at all. I'm being completely sincere," Sophie replied, looking earnest. Sandy was fuming, "This woman is insufferable! Odie! I want her out! Kick her out!"
Odie's lips curled slightly, showing no sign of sending Sophie away.
"Odie, are you deaf? Didn't you hear what I said?" Sandy demanded, glaring at him.
Vanessa quickly grabbed Sandy's hand, "Sandy, please, don't be like this. I invited Ms. Sophie as a guest, and Mr. Odie is just helping me..."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
