Revenge is best served cold (Jane and Jeremiah novel Chapter 1119

Hearing that Sophie and Colby would be heading back to Devonport in three days, Timothy's eyes flickered with a hint of something.

Noticing his reaction, Sophie grabbed Colby's hand and said, “Colby, let's go upstairs and order some takeout.”

“Okay.”

Colby obediently followed Sophie upstairs.

Angelo, convinced the meal couldn't be that bad, took a bite.

The earthy fishiness exploded in his mouth. He grimaced, feeling the fish scales still dancing on his tongue.

“...Honestly, what you cooked is... ugh, pretty good... ugh! Keep at it... ugh! I need to go upstairs!”

Covering his mouth, Angelo ran upstairs.

Sophie's earlier descriptions had already been quite diplomatic.

Who would've thought such a fancy-looking lunch could taste so awful!

“Brother! Wait for me!” Sandy dropped her fork and chased after him.

Timothy approached the meal he had prepared, his face emotionless, and dumped each dish into the trash.

Three days...

It seemed he indeed needed to pick up the pace.

In the afternoon, an invitation was delivered to the Minton family’s villa.

When Jonah handed the invitation to Odie, he barely glanced at it before saying, “Since when do these little parties invite me? I’m not going.”

“Boss, the invitation... it’s not for you.”

Odie frowned and finally took a closer look at the invitation. Sure enough, it was addressed to Sophie.
