Revenge is best served cold (Jane and Jeremiah novel Chapter 1339

Sophie noticed that everyone's eyes were on her. She furrowed her brow and asked, "Remember that ledger we talked about?"

"Yeah, of course."

"Other than the usual stuff, it was just filled with numbers."

Sophie mused, "If those four ledgers are actually a treasure map, could those numbers be geographical coordinates?"

Jenna chimed in, "So many coordinates, though. Seems kinda far-fetched."

Colby, with a serious look, replied, "It's possible."

Adler was curious, "What makes you say that?"

Colby explained, "Latitude 31° North, Longitude 120° East is a key point for Devonport, but Devonport has its own specific coordinates too."

Sophie added, "Devonport sits between Longitude 120°52′ and 122°12′ East, and Latitude 30°40′ and 31°53′ North. Don't those numbers, 120 and 30, ring a bell?"

Jenna clapped her hands, "Those numbers popped up in the ledger all the time, and they were even highlighted in red!"

"What if they point to locations centered around Devonport's downtown?"

"30...120..." Jenna murmured, "That means it's gotta be that mountain."

She pointed to a mountain range just outside town, where the numbers 【30, 120】 were specifically marked.

"But hasn't that mountain been flattened?" Jenna asked skeptically.

"Just because the mountain's gone doesn't mean there's no treasure underground. Remember the old tale about the royal family hiding their treasure there?" Sophie mentioned. "The Aldridge family poured a lot of money into something back then. If it wasn't for fixing up a spy station, maybe they were moving the mountain."

"Really? Have we actually found the treasure's spot?" Jenna's excitement was contagious.
