Just as Jack and I were speaking, Elsa suddenly appeared, looking as innocent as ever. "Jack, Jane, are you two arguing?"
I rolled my eyes. This act of hers was so nauseating that it almost made me want to throw up yesterday's meal.

Elsa's expression instantly shifted to one of distress as she looked at Jack with concern. "Jack, what's going on?"
I let out a cold laugh. "You mean to tell me you don't know?"
Jack's face twisted with anguish. He looked at Elsa hesitantly, then said in a testing tone, "Elsa… everything you asked me to do… Was it really for my sake? Was it really for the good of the Brown Group?"

In the end, she settled her gaze on him, her expression full of hurt. "Jack… is that really what you think of me? All I've ever wanted was the best for you. How could you doubt me?"
As soon as the words left her mouth, she cast one last sorrowful glance at us, then covered her mouth and ran away.
Jack panicked instantly and ran after her. "Elsa!"
I watched the two figures disappear down the hallway and let out a long sigh.
It looked like everything I just said was for nothing.
