Revenge is best served cold novel Chapter 76

Eric's dark eyes flickered with surprise. "Really?"

I nodded firmly. "Of course. I reached out to the investors a long time ago. The reason I went to see Benson was just to see what he was up to.

"Not only that, but I've also invested in game software. Since you've been so good to me, why don't you invest with me? I have a lot of confidence in this game. It's bound to become popular worldwide, and if you invest with me, we could make a lot of money!"

I thought Eric would at least hesitate a little, but to my surprise, he immediately nodded. "I'll invest a hundred million."

I stared at him in shock. "Aren't you afraid I'm tricking you? How can you agree without a second thought?"

The smile on Eric's lips deepened. "You wouldn't lie to me."

I didn't expect Eric to trust me this much. I lowered my head, feeling my face heat up. "Okay, okay. Now that the matter's settled, let's go back. I don't want to stay here too long and catch a cold."

With that, I quickly ran off and hopped into the car.

It was silent in the car, and my heart was racing so fast it felt like it might jump out of my chest. I instinctively pressed my hand to my chest, breathing heavily

What was wrong with me? I’d seen a lot of good–looking guys before, but why did I feel so nervous around Eric? A strange feeling starred inside me, but I didn’t dare to think about the answer.

In my past life, I gave everything for love, only to end up with nothing good. In this life, could I really dive into a new relationship without hesitation?

While I was lost in thought, Eric got into the car. His long fingers barely touched the steering wheel when I noticed the blood on his knuckles, and my heart skipped a beat.

“What happened to your hand? Why is it bleeding?”

I instinctively grabbed his hand, and my concern slipped out before I could stop it.

“Did you get hurt while dealing with Benson? But how could it bleed so much? I need to go buy some medicine for you!”

I was about to open the car door when Eric suddenly grasped my wrist and pulled me back. I turned around and suddenly realized how close we were so close I could feel his breath. My heart skipped a beat, and I unconsciously held my breath.

“What’s wrong?”

A flicker of a smile passed through his eyes, and his thumb casually brushed against the palm of my hand. It tickled, and it almost felt like it had some kind of power that pulled me in.

“Are you worried about me?”

At a time like this, he was concerned about something like that.

I sighed helplessly and quickly pulled away from him. “Eric, even though your wound is small, if it’s left untreated, it could lead to tetams. So, in this situation, Thope you’ll focus on your injury and stop asking such random questions.”

I pulled my hand from his and got out of the car to buy iodine and cotton swabs.

When I refund, he was resting against the driver’s seat. His hand was casually draped over the side, I didn’t want to disturb him, so I gently took his hand and opened the iodine to disinfect the wound.

His hands were beautiful, so delicate and well–defined. They were even more e

After Handaged him up, I couldn’t help but lightly squeeze his thumbs.

Suddenly, I heard a heavy breath near my ear.

I froze, and when I looked up, his tall figure was leaning over me

“Is my hand really that interesting?” elegant than a woman’s, and the touch was soft and

Eric’s breath hit my face, and his strong fragrance surrounded me. I instinctively held my breath and quickly moved back.
