Evangeline slapped Dexter’s hand away impatiently and then turned over and covered her head with the blanket. She didn’t want to talk to him. 

Dexter stretched out the blanket to expose her head. 

Evangeline didn’t move. Dexter sat on the edge of the bed, reached out, and poked her side cheek. “You have slept for twelve hours. You can’t sleep more.” 

Evangeline turned her head quickly to bite his finger. 

Because of her anger she bit it hard and soon felt a faint smell of blood in her mouth. However, Dexter didn’t say anything or withdraw his hand. 

Evangeline opened her eyes, stopped her action, and pushed his hand away. She asked, “Are you stupid? Why don’t you take your hand away?” 

Dexter replied, “I’m afraid of hurting your teeth.” 

Evangeline didn’t know what to say. 

She rolled over irritably, lay face down on the bed, and then squirmed to slide toward the ground. 

When she was about to fall to the ground, Dexter picked her up and said, “Eva, elegance.” 

“I see.” Evangeline kicked him away, turned over to the ground, and crawled gracefully. 

Dexter was speechless. 

Evangeline didn’t stand up until she reached the bathroom door 

After this move, she was completely awake. 

She walked into the bathroom. When she was about to reach for her toothbrush, Dexter took it away. 

Dexter said, “Wash your hands first. I’ll squeeze the toothpaste for you” 

Evangeline glanced at her palms and felt they were pretty clean. 

She thought. You used to play in the mud when you were a child. Why do you have mysophobia now? 

Evangeline turned on the tap and rinsed her hands, then took the toothbrush from Dexter and began to brush her teeth. 

After she finished, Dexter handed her a wet towel Evangeline took it and wiped her face. 

She walked into the living room and found breakfast was already on the table. 

The assistant who was working today was Scott. He cooked pasta for Evangeline. 

Seeing Evangeline coming. Scott smiled and said. “Ms. Castillo, Lmade pasta for you. But I don’t know if you like it. If you don’t, I will cook something else for you.” 

Evangeline said, “No need. Pasta is fine. Just go get me a bottle of cola” 

Scott glanced at Dexter and nodded when he saw that Dexter had no objection. 

Evangeline was very satisfied with the pasta and cola.
