Chapter 1018 I'm Not Afraid

Hattie stepped back in front of Selena, holding the blood-stained whip with exquisite features and a chilling aura in her eyes. Selena pulled back her longbow, her sharp gaze aimed at the spot she had been staring at.

After a moment of shock, Richard and the others quickly regained their composure, standing in a circle with icy expressions as they faced off against the wolf pack. The wolves had been ravaged by Hattie and were now ferociously circling them, baring their teeth as they searched for a chance to attack again. The thick scent of blood permeated the cold night wind.

As the tension rose, the wolf pack suddenly became restless, their savage eyes fixed on Selena and her companions, becoming even more violent. Selena's sharp gaze also grew colder.

As they watched with bated breath, a fierce shadow emerged from the darkness and walked towards Selena's arrow. It was a giant white wolf with hair like needles and oily green eyes, cruel and calm like a king of beasts. Kevin's pupils suddenly shrank. "It's the alpha wolf!"

Richard and Yasmin also felt their breath become heavy. Everyone knew that the alpha wolf's den was not far from the wolf pack's gathering place. If it called for more companions, they might not make it out alive.

If it weren't for the bloodstains on the ground, one could almost believe that the crisis just now was just an illusion.

Selena slowly put down her bow, her dark eyes still looking towards the darkness in the distance. She raised her hand and pressed Hattie's cold shoulder.

Hattie's stiff body only regained consciousness at this moment.

The young girl looked up at Selena's pale face, unable to detect any fear in her expression. She suddenly threw herself at Selena, hugging her waist tightly.

Selena looked down at her and her voice was slightly hoarse, "Did I scare you?"

Hattie shook her head and said loudly, "Selena, I'm not afraid!"
