Revenge On Love Rats After Rebirth by Olivia Marsh novel Chapter 1120

Chapter 1120 Constance Baxter

Patrick's eyes flickered with a deep emotion. "Keep an eye on the young lady these two days," he said, and added, "Don't let him come at night!"

After all, he was the man that Selena liked.

It wasn't practical to stop them from meeting altogether.

Although they had already gotten married, Selena was still young and needed to be protected. She couldn't be taken advantage of by men too early.

As for what to do next, the head of the Turner family was obviously still in a state of panic over "the Turner family's daughter being taken away by a man!" and had no idea what to do.

The next two days passed peacefully. On the morning of the third day, Selena went to the research institute with Leia.

She had been resting well for the past two days and was in a good mood, making her look even more beautiful and charming.

She wore a white dress and walked elegantly towards the meeting room with the Turner family's entourage.

A woman standing in the corner of the parking lot took off her sunglasses and watched Selena leave. "Is that Lady Selena?" she asked.

Marley, who was standing next to her, lowered her head and replied, "Yes, cousin."

Constance Baxter sounded somewhat admiring. "She's so beautiful. No wonder she's liked by so many men."

Marley remained silent and nervous.

Constance seemed to sense her nervousness and turned her gaze to her. "Marley, congratulations on getting into the research department."

"Thank you, cousin," Marley whispered.

"Don't be nervous," Constance said with a gentle smile. "Grandpa will be back soon, and he'll be very happy when he finds out you got into the research institute."

Marley clenched her fingers. With someone as powerful as Constance around, what was there for her, a little nobody, to be happy about?

Constance didn't get a response, but she didn't get angry either. She just said with a smile, "Let's go. Don't keep everyone waiting."

When Selena walked into the conference room with Patrick, everyone's eyes turned to them in an instant, most of them looking unfriendly.

Selena glanced over them quickly - several vice deans of the Institute, people from the Shaw and Poole families, Principal Marshall, and a few military school students behind him, including Richard, who was greeting her. It seemed like everyone who was supposed to be there had arrived, and it looked like the Poole family's matter had come to a close.

Under the cold and peculiar gazes, Selena calmly took her seat, looking lazy and unconcerned, with no signs of nervousness. After a moment, the large screen on the wall lit up, and several big shots from Zone Six appeared in another conference room. Almost everyone immediately turned their eager gaze towards Selena, as they all knew what today's meeting meant.

With her delicate hands propping up her chin, Selena smiled towards the screen, "Hello, everyone."

Sidney asked gently, "Are you so happy because you are ready to give us a 'surprise'?"

Selena nodded seriously and said, "As the new head of the research department, I cannot let down your expectations. A new broom sweeps clean, right?"

Her small expression of "I can handle it, you can rest assured!" successfully amused the two military big shots. Even the usually serious Lorenzo couldn't help but laugh.

Freddie, on the other hand, looked at Selena's proud expression and let out a cold laugh.

Sidney waved his hand, "Well then, let's get started."

Leia stepped up to the podium, opened Selena's laptop, and was about to click on the attachment to display the design drawings Selena had made, but Henry suddenly stood up and said, "Please wait a moment. Not all the attendees have arrived yet."

Selena raised her eyebrows and revealed a playful and cold smile on her face. Leia gave Henry a resentful look but still let go of the mouse, not clicking on the attachment content. Everyone in the two conference rooms looked at Henry with their eyes.
