Chapter 24 

Harrison stood frozen. 

Meanwhile, Scarlett looked at him as she spoke each word with chilling clarity, “Harrison, if you spent over 20 years waiting for someone in your past life, only to be betrayed and killed because of their selfishness, would you give them another chance if you lived again? 

“Would you waste even a minute on them?” 

Color drained from Harrison’s face. He stood then, speechless. 

Scarlett continued calmly, “The look on your face already tells me your answer. So now, I hope you can understand mine. Don’t come looking for me again, Harrison.” 

With that, she turned and walked away without a second glance. 

Harrison remained rooted in place, his mind spiraling. 

That dream had always felt too real. And now, Scarlett had confirmed that it wasn’t just a dream. She had lived through all that suffering. 

Harrison suddenly collapsed to the ground. His eyes were filled with despair. He had thought the dream was a warning–a chance to see his true feelings before it was too late. 

But no. It had been Scarlett’s reality. 

And if she had truly gone through all of that, then she would never forgive him. 

At that thought, Harrison covered his face and broke into sobs.
