“Could it be that your crush is asking you out?” Gabrielle teased with a playful grin that made my cheeks flush. 

“Don’t say that; he’s just a friend.” 

I tried to keep my voice steady, but my heart raced uncontrollably. A wave of sadness washed over me as I felt a mix of emotions, unsure of what decision to malor 

Gabrielle didn’t seem ready to drop the subject. She moved in closer, her curiosity piqued as if i were the center of some gossip. “Really? Just a friend asking you out for a stroll? It seems like Ethan is interested in you,” 

I sighed in resignation. Gabrielle always had a mack for picking up on these subtle energies. However, this time she might have misread the situation. 

“Actually…” I started to explain when my phone buzzed again. Another message from Ethan popped up on the screen. 

“I know there are some misunderstandings between us, but I hope we can talk and clear things up in person.” 

I was momentarily stunned, reading the words with a mixture of emotions. It was true; there were unspolun misunderstandings between us like an Invisible wall separating us and pushing us apart. 

“What’s wrong? You look like something’s really bothering you. Gabrielle noticed my unease, her intuition sharp as ever. 

I took a deep breath, deciding to share the truth, but I didn’t want to burden her with too many details or draw her into the drama. 

“There are indeed some issues I need to resolve with Ethan, but I’m not sure how to approach it.”

Gabrielle paused for a moment, then looked at me seriously. “No matter what happened between you two, I think you should face it. Avoiding the anything.” 

I nodded, feeling a surge of unexpected courage. She was right; running away wouldn’t help. Only by confronting the situation could I find a way to resolve it. 

“Thanks, Gabrielle.” I looked at her gratefully, warmth flooding my heart. 

Gabrielle smiled, giving my shoulder a reassuring pat. “We’re good friends, so we’ve got to support each other. No matter what happens, I’m here for you.”
