“I think we could add some detachable elements like sleeves or a collar so customers can adjust the look for different occasions, and it makes the outfit more versatile,” Gabrielle suggested. 

My eyes lit up as her idea solved a lingering question in my mind. We immediately modified the design to add detachable sleeves and an adjustable waist tie. It would add flexibility to suit various body shapes and style preferences. 

As time elapsed, our design took shape beautifully. We focused on achieving a distinctive look and perfecting every detail to ensure every piece would stand out in the market. 

At the same time, we brainstormed ways to present our design in a way that would showcase our efforts and creativity to the judges and audience. 

“We could create a display board showing our design concept, process, and the final piece,” Gabrielle suggested. 

“We could perhaps add vivid photos of the model wearing the dress to further show the appeal of the dress to the audience.” 

I nodded in agreement, and we quickly set to work on the display board. We selected high–quality photos of the model and added brief descriptions to show our design concept and brand spirit through details. 

The day of the semi–finals was finally here. We brought our meticulously created garment and display board as we confidently stepped onto the stage. When our design was unveiled, the audience responded with warm applause and admiration. 

“Congratulations to all designers for completing these outstanding pieces. Let’s now invite the panelists to give their feedback and select our top ten finalists,” the host announced. 

A few well–known panelists in the industry stepped forward to approach our display board and examine our work. Their eyes flashed with critical precision and appreciation. 

Gabrielle and I stood aside, and I could feel my heart pounding from nervousness and anticipation. 

“This sundress is the perfect blend of both classical and modern elements. It preserves the essence of a corset and brings new life into it,” a panelist commented as he ran his fingers lightly over the blueprint, and his eyes shone with approval. 

“Detachable elements are perfect as everyday essentials. They take consumers‘ needs into consideration, and designers rarely take that into account.” 

Another panelist focused on the fabric and craftsmanship. “The fabric is soft to the touch and has a warm rich color. They must’ve poured their heart and soul into creating this piece. 

“Plus, the craftsmanship is flawless. I can’t spot a single imperfection, and this is essential for pieces intended for quick sale.”
