Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 135

Alicia paused, considering Tyrone. Then she turned her gaze to Jade. "But today, I don't feel like forgiving you."

Jade drew in a sharp breath. "Fine. Then I'll come back tomorrow…"

She glared at Alicia, barely restraining the urge to lash out.

"Why are you so afraid of her, sis?" Nicole demanded, frustration in her voice.

"You don't understand," Jade snapped, her anger barely contained. She climbed into the car and slammed the door.

Nicole scrambled to pick up her suitcase from the pavement, hoisting it into the trunk by herself before getting in and following after Jade.

Alicia stood there, watching the way Jade treated Nicole, and doubts began to creep in.

If Nicole really was the sole heir to the Lynch family, her status should have far surpassed Jade's. So why did Nicole always act like Jade's obedient follower, pandering to her every whim? And when Jade got angry, she never hesitated to put Nicole in her place.

Nicole was supposed to be the Lynch patriarch's darling, the apple of his eye.

Alicia shook her head and headed back into the living room.

Wilma greeted her with a smile. "Mr. Black asked me to replace all of these things. I doubt Nicole will dare show her face here again."

"He really does dote on you," Wilma said, genuinely pleased to see Tyrone standing up for Alicia.

But Alicia didn't dare let herself believe Tyrone was doing it out of affection for her.

If anything, Tyrone seemed determined to oppose the White family at every turn. His real goal was probably to use this situation as an excuse to break off the engagement between the two families for good.

Otherwise, once their marriage ended, wouldn't Tyrone still be expected to marry Nicole? He'd never be able to marry Serena…
